With a Auto Scanner, you may quickly find out trouble causes of electronically controlled systems on your car by reading the trouble code (DTC) shown on Auto-Scanner and checking out trouble causes with attached MANUAL. Though so small, it is of the same function as special tool of its kind and applicable to C Class (C180,C200,C230,C240,C320,C55,C32,CLK200,CLK240,CLK320,CLK500,CLK55,CL500,CL600,CL55,CL65) 2. FUNCTIONS Reading trouble codes: when press the read button, the Auto Scanner will Read DTCs of powertrain system one by one. Clearing trouble codes: when press the clear button, the Auto Scanner will clear DTCs of powertrain system. 3. OPERATIONS When the CHECK ENGINE light is on, stop the car and apply the parking brake, start the engine then plug the Auto Scanner to the 16-pin socket usually located under the instrument panel in the car. It will display the brand name UIF twice . then press the READ button, it will read the trouble code reader trouble code and display 3 times. If there is no trouble codes, it will display [-- -- -- --]. When press the ERASE button, it will clear the trouble codes. In case that Auto Scanner can not be plugged in directly or codes can not be seen due to socket facing downward, use the extension cable with the female plug to connect with Auto Scanner and 16pin plug with socket. 4.
